Eyeliner this fall is creating a lot of fuss in the makeup industry this season, and as a leading makeup brand that's always on trend and innovative makes sense that Mac will come out with an eyeliner only collection.
So if you go into a Mac store and see a small display of eyeliners, yes there are some of the liners already available and a new gel liner pen with a cap.
I recently discovered this wonder of an eyeliner product when I popped into my local Mac store to just play in makeup- as you do, haaa!
After applying several foundations, powders, highlighters, lipsticks, eyeshadows and basically everything alluring, I saw a stand 'rebel eyes' collection stand which consists of re-promotes of MAC's current eyeliners and a new gel eyeliner, so in my mind am thinking why is MAC coming out with a line of eyeliners that are already permanent, I barely noticed there was a new eyeliner in the collection when it first came out online.
Mac Rebeleyes Gel Liner Palette
I've used and tried most eyeliners by MAC but what actually drew me in was the 'Stylo Eye-Liner Gel Pen' so proceeded to use it and I was absolutely blown away with the ease of application this pen was to line both top and bottom of my eyes.
The pen has a white angled tip, with a gel coming out when twisted at the bottom. The shape helps create a clean, easy and fast application.
Pigmentation of this gel eyeliner pen is amazing, a pigmented black similar to MAC's Smoulder eye pencil. The texture feels very smooth and is smudge proof. I swatched it on my hand and I kid you not this gel liner did not budge. The packaging is a click pen which twists to push up the gel for application, and very little goes a long way saving you much more product. I was instantly blown away as I've always overlooked gel eyeliners due to the trickiness of applying on my lids.
Overall I give this product a thumbs up, just because I absolutely love how easy and neat it is to apply, a great beginners sample and people on the go who want the gel liner effect look, who don't have the time to really take their liner neatly on the first go..as we know which takes time and can be a pain for some people.
Its creamy and lasts really long, doesn't dry as is a click pen, you only dispense what you need. But also need to be careful how much product to dispense.
Mac Rebeleyes Gel Liner Review
If you like a thin liner, this will not work for you as the tip is quite thick. Pretty good as far as smudging is concerned. Darker jet black and more intense than most mac eyeliners.
A great buy at £18.00 which is quite pricey for some, but I think is worth the price.

If eyeliners were men, then I would probably be the most promiscuous girl around. I can’t stick to one for more than a couple of months, and more often than not jump ship everytime there is a shiny new toy in town. So when Mac Rebel Liner hit the stands, this bad boy made me sit up and take notice because first, its gel liner in pen form. Like Hullloooo? Dreams becoming reality much. Second how do you resist something called “Rebel Eyes” – just the bad boy-ness of it all makes me go weak in the knees . If you guys are used to Benefit They’re Real Eyeliner, this is kinda the same concept.
Here is what I thought:
Pros:
- The effect is just like Mac Black Track- thick, jet black and rich
- Its a gel liner without having to use a brush. That’s like eating lobster without having to deal with the shell. Or not. Im just hungry.
- This lasts ages. I mean girls, you can cry, you can sweat, you can bat your lashes at supersonic speed and this will be with you morning to night. I easily got more than a 10 hour wear time without fading

Cons:
- For those who like thinner eyeliner, this wont work because by default this gives a pretty thick line.
- I think this may be a bit tough for eyeliner virgins to use. It take s a while to get used to the slanted tip, and get it at that perfect angle etc so even I take some time applying this.

Recommendation: I use this on nights out because lining with this everyday will take a little bit of time , and it isn’t the thinnest either so I like to reserve it for when I have time, and I’m heading somewhere special. Would advise you to buy it only if you are quite a pro with eyeliner though- it takes time getting used to the slanted tip application to get a smooth line.
